Massillon Cable TV’s cable system is a “closed system.” As a result, breaks in the wire can cause signal leakage. There are many causes of signal leakage, including improper installation and substandard equipment, wiring or connectors.
We are responsible for minimizing signal leakage, and the FCC requires us to regularly check our entire system for breaks. If our tests show signal leakage at your home, we will contact you. You will then be responsible for eliminating the leakage within a reasonable period of time. If the leakage is not corrected, we are required to discontinue service to your home. As with all aspects of in-home wiring, you can choose to fix the problem yourself, pay Massillon Cable TV to fix the problem or hire an electrician to make the repairs.
